Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 (NKJV)

God’s desire to save us is more than we can ever imagine.

The Apostle Paul explains that our salvation is the will and works of the three Persons of the Trinity. The Father God has reconciled the world to Himself through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus (cf. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19), and the Spirit in us assures us of eternal life and enables to follow and imitate Christ.

We must have a correct grasp of the doctrine of the Trinity since it explains God's nature, heart, and will towards us. This enables us to love God more faithfully and serve Him more fruitfully.

Whatever God is doing in us right now is based on what He has already done for us in Christ. We are chosen and accepted into the Beloved. Many people know that God is love, but they are not sure if He loves them. The good news is that Jesus prays for God to love us as much as He loves Him. There is nothing to fear or dread now because God’s love has already been perfected in us and is being strengthened by the Holy Spirit.

When we respond to the Spirit by believing the truth about who we are and have in Christ, we can love and serve God with confidence. This is because God had given us His Holy Spirit to enable us to will and work for His pleasure. We will experience a deep satisfaction in God when we respond to His working in us and through us.

Remember your salvation is all God's doing.

The Father initiates our salvation. The Son achieves our salvation. The Spirit sustains our salvation. Without the Trinity, there is no free gift of salvation. So let us thank the Father for sending the Son to live and die for us and to live again with us through sending the Holy Spirit to live in us.
