But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.

Jude 1:20-21(ESV)

The Trinity is actively involved in our Christian life.

Many times, we just focus on one person of the Trinity and ignore the other two. This leads to theological imbalance and spiritual confusion. Some believers almost avoid the Holy Spirit, and others prioritise God's sovereignty over God's love. To avoid doctrinal idiosyncrasy or poor biblical interpretation, we must rediscover the truth and authenticity of the Trinity. We shall not only have a better understanding of God, but also have a more fulfilling experience with Him.

As we await the real and bodily return of Jesus Christ, the Apostle Jude instructs us to keep ourselves in God's love by continually building ourselves up in faith and praying ever more confidently in the Spirit. This is to say a spiritually balanced and healthy understanding of the Trinity will not only shape but also transform our dally experiences of faith. This is particularly needful as we are living in a time of doctrinal apathy and confusion.

We must not only to be trinitarian in our belief, but also in practice.

As we believe in one God: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we must learn to embrace the logical and supernatural implications of a life with God. The two does not contradict each other, but they serve to enhance the mystery of our divine oneness and unity with the Triune God. This mystery of the Godhead should awaken our deepest longings to know God as He has revealed Himself in Scriptures and through Christ. We become not just faithful, but also fruitful.
