May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
2 Corinthians 13:14 (NIV)
Understanding the Trinity is not advanced theology.
Though it is described as a deep mystery of faith that we will never fully understand, we should approach it by sharing in the love and life of the Triune God. We are loved by the Father who gave His Son to us (John 3:16) and we are loved by the Son who gave His life for us (Galatians 3:16) and we are loved by the Spirit who lives inside of us (Romans 5:5).
A triune gospel makes you better in every way.
God’s love for us completes our love for God. We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). Any fear of not being enough for God comes from a place of insecurity as well as a lack of knowledge and experience with God's love. This impairs our relationship with God and our fellowship with Him. It is not the truth that God loves you that changes you—rather it is when you are convinced and convicted by the truth of God’s love that changes you.
God helps you to walk according to the truth of His love for you.
You should know that since before you were born God loves you and has planned beforehand for you to be part of His eternal family (Ephesians 1:4) and be conformed to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29). It is more than forgiveness and heaven but being lovingly embraced and surrounded by God’s eternal life of love so that you can share in His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4) and enjoy the riches of His grace (Ephesians 2:7). In short, our salvation is not just being spared from the penalty of sin but being totally reconciled and restored to a true relationship with God and enjoying His Presence with us and in us.
