Missions at Firstlight Church

We support local and international mission organisations and ministries

• Different organisations share about the work they do during our monthly Mission Sundays 
• We have hosted and provided lunch for Interserve WA as a thanks for all the work they do
• We financially support multiple organisations including: Water for Africa, Compassion Australia, Indigenous Ministries Australia

We support local and international missionaries

• We support multiple missionaries and their families in the international mission field
• We support local missionaries in Perth who empower and train individuals for missions
• We send out mission teams for short term trips to countries such as Thailand and Cambodia

We support local charities and not-for-profit organisations:

• Putting together Christmas hampers of essential pantry items for asylum seekers through the Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainee (CARAD)
• Assembling Christmas blessing boxes to gift to children in need through The Pantry

We engage with our local community and support local volunteer projects through:

• Volunteering at the Ronald McDonald house
• Fundraising for Mission Austraila through the HBF Run for a Reason
• Contributing funds to a cooking and education project that supports older women living a healthy independent lifestyle
• Partnering with Lake Gwelup Christian Church to run a Christmas carols event for the local community – “Christmas in Gwelup”
