We must not allow the daily grind of life and work draw us away from God. We must keep reminding ourselves that we belong to God, not to ourselves. Knowing we are truly His, we seek to reflect His glory in everything we say, think, and do.

Consider these words of the Apostle Paul:

Have you forgotten that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you, and that you are not the owner of your own body? You have been bought, and at what a price! Therefore, bring glory to God both in your body and your spirit, for they both belong to him.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (Phillips)

The Corinthian Christians were a group of incorrigible believers who abused grace in the name of grace. The Apostle Paul urged them not to lose sight of their identity and inheritance in Christ, their true worth and value in God's eyes as well as their spiritual and supernatural life in the Spirit. Simply put, God created us to worship and "use our bodies" for His glory and honour. If we are to lose sight of who God created us to be, then we will lose our reason for being.

Too often we separate the truth of what we believe from the way we live. Such a life makes you feel estranged from God, filled with guilt and condemnation. Learn to worship God and be blessed by His love. It is through worship that we are awaken to a greater reality that transcends life's distractions and enticements.

What is God saying to me here and what must I do?
