Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

Acts 3:6 (NKJV)

Our friendship and relationship with God will fundamentally change the way we live and perceive life. When the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles and early disciples, they began to boldly do things they had never done before. With Christ in them, they began to give to others what they had received from Him.

Consider what Peter said to the lame man, "Silver and gold, I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."

One thing we can learn from the early church is that they truly put God first—before ministry. Luke described how the believers devoted themselves to the word, prayer, and worship. That suggests their relationship with God was more important than what they accomplished for Him.

Learn to see the incredible beauty of your life in Christ. You don't get more power when you give yourself to the word, prayer, and worship. You already have all the power you need—because of your position in Christ. However, it is only through intimacy with God through Scripture and the Spirit that you will learn how to use the power bestowed upon you.

God always provide all we need to serve Him.

If you serve out of compulsion rather than with love from and for the Lord, ministry becomes a drudgery than joy or a duty than a delight. However, when we fully rely on God as our source and supply, we are set free from the pressures of ministry and a performance-based identity. The more we grow in grace, the more we operate through it. After all, grace frees us from the bondage of pleasing people and perfectionism.
