All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me].

John 6:37 (Amplified)

Our salvation does not rest on our faithfulness to God. Rather it rests on Jesus’ faithfulness to us. He not only saves us but also sustains us throughout our Christian life. In the gospel of John, Jesus promised He will never cast out or reject anyone who comes to Him. In other words, we shouldn't worry about losing our salvation because we are eternally secure in Christ.

Our faith may fluctuate from day to day, but God's love for us is unwavering. Even though many situations try to snatch us from His hands, Jesus assures us that nothing and no one can do so (John 10:28–29). This gives us a great sense of assurance about our salvation.

We will never use Jesus' promise of eternal security as an excuse for sin. If we truly believe that salvation comes through grace, we must also recognise that God's grace in Christ teaches us to reject ungodliness and live righteously. Titus 2:11-12. In other words, the better we understand God's grace, the more we want to love, worship and serve Him. There is no reason for us to live a life that contradicts God's grace.

We often turn away from God because God is always faithful. After all, He promised to never leave or forsake us. In Luke 15, Jesus uses the parable of the lost sheep, coin, and son to remind us that God will find us and restore us to Him. When we realize the depths of God's love and grace, we will never want to leave Him.

What is God saying to me here and what must I do?
