[Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

Colossians 1:15 (ESV)

The Incarnation of Jesus quells all preconceived assumptions about God. Jesus proclaims that whoever sees Him sees the Father (John 14 8-11). He reveals God's invisible qualities through His first coming and dying on the Cross, allowing us to know God for who He truly is and how He truly feels about us.

First, Jesus demonstrates that God is love.

Second, God loves us indefinitely and unconditionally.

Third, God's unfailing love for us is shown in His Son, who came not to condemn us for our sins but to heal us from them.

When you focus on these truths, no matter what happens or does not happen in your life, you will always find serenity and strength in God's love. It is often misleading to measure God's love by exterior circumstances or unexpected hardships. If you do, you will experience dread, confusion, and frustration. Never let your circumstances define His love; instead, let His love define your circumstances.

As the image of the invisible God, Jesus made one thing visibly clear: God does not wait for us to be good and deserving before loving us. God is the Perfect Love who freely chooses to love us and freely offers us His love even before we love Him.

The Cross perfectly reveals God's love. Only through the Cross do we know God is not hiding from us. He is now present both around and within us. Nothing can separate you from God's love and His unbreakable promise that He will not abandon or forsake us, even when the days are dark, and the journey appears long and rough.

While the future remains uncertain and our confidence is threatened by the unknown, remember that God is the consistent, constant, and unchanging One. Nothing should break your faith in God's love for you. Let God's love serve as your foundation of faith, and you will see how your life turns into such a beautiful expression of being loved into life, freedom, and healing.
