Jesus told his disciples a story about how they should keep on praying and never give up.
Luke 18:1 (CEV)
Jesus not only teach us to pray, but He also teach us to keep praying and not grow weary. He calls us to see God as a righteous judge who will treat us fairly and justly, doing everything with perfect love, mercy, and kindness.
Praying is a way of expressing your understanding of God. It demonstrates if you can trust God's promises and provisions for your current situation. Praying knowing that God knows what is best for your life grows faith and trust. In other words, prayer reveal your theology at its deepest level.
Unrealised prayers are not wasted prayers. Rather they are seeds we plant and will later one day see the fruits in the Lord Jesus. Prayer goes beyond asking God to do our bidding and instead ask everything to conform to the purpose of His will (Ephesians 1:11). In this sense, prayer humbles us and gives us a purity of heart, keeping selfishness and self-pity from plaguing our faith.
When you feel the joy and goodness of His empowering presence, you will rise to a whole new level of growth and maturity. Then you will stop praying like a beggar and start praying as a beloved child of God. When you pray with the authority and position of sonship, presumptuous and emotional prayers give way to audacious and effectual prayers. Then nothing stays impossible when you surrender everything to God.
