Everyone worries.

Rich people and poor people have different worries. One is concerned with obtaining more, while the other is concerned with preserving what little they have.

When we worry, we act like an unloved spiritual orphan, ignoring the fact that we have a loving Father who knows what we need even if we do not tell Him. This identity crisis affects our faith and how it works through God's perfect love (cf. Galatians 5:6).

Whenever we are buffeted by life's wretched storms, we must remain strong and fight the good fight of faith, no matter how we feel or believe we understand. Learn how to put the faith you already have in and through Christ to good use. The more we understand how much God loves us, the easier it is to believe in Him.

This love of God produces a confident sense of peace, an experience of God's presence that is beyond comprehension and conception. Bad times and bad things happen not because God does not love you. However, because God holds your future in His very loving hands, those difficult times and circumstances must yield to God's amazing will for your life. They do not get the last word because God has the final say.

Consider these words of Jesus:

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27 (NKJV)

God's peace is already ours through Christ, and it is available to everybody who believes. You cannot have Jesus and not have His peace within you. Do not settle for less than God has purposed for you.

Instead of seeking explanations for the causes of our grief and suffering, it would be better for our hearts and long-term happiness and well-being if we focused on God and remembered who He is to us and who we are to Him.
