We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NIV)

Everyone has had those moments when everything seems impossible, and we want to give up. The Apostle Paul told the Corinthians that despite rejection, betrayal, and broken trust, he maintained his confidence and trust in God.

A wounded heart is a distracted heart.

Because of your hurt and grief, you may feel disconnected and lonely, and not motivated to do things. The good news is that, while what you are going through right now may be uncomfortable, it will not last. No matter how much you believe you have messed up, resist the temptation to give up; instead, keep your faith in God.

Learn to let go of yesterday's defeat so that you can celebrate today's victory. Even if you have no answer as to why awful things continue to happen to you, remember your brighter days are ahead of you.

Life will push back against us, which is why we must overcome despair and fear by walking in the truth that God will never leave or forsake us. The pain you went through may have been the best thing that ever happened to you. Paul would not have had the same impact on the Gentiles if he had not been persecuted by his fellow Jews. Joseph could not have saved his brothers if they had not sold him. Ruth would not have met Boaz and became Jesus' direct ancestor if she had not been willing to pick the leftover grain from the harvest field.

No experience is ever wasted when we put it in God’s hands.

Just keep worshipping God through your troubles, trials, and tears. God knows exactly where you are, even if you feel lost and alone. Trust Him, and He will lead you through the dark night into the dawn of His marvellous light.
