May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

2 Corinthians 13:14 (NIV)

It is through Christ that we are brought into the community of the Trinity. It is a perfect community of perfect love. We not only get to enjoy a loving fellowship with the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, but we also get to experience the beloved work of each person of the Godhead individually.

We can be in community with one another because of our relationship with the Trinity. Knowing we are inextricably connected to the Trinity allows us to express this unique and supernatural reality in many meaningful ways with one another.

We cannot try to create a community on our own terms. In doing so, we are claiming that we are better than God. But when we learn to humbly articulate what we have encountered from our personal and shared experiences of oneness and community with the Trinity, we will see a transformation in our church community that exceeds our expectations.

There is no pessimism or defeatism in the community of the Trinity.

When things become tedious or difficult in the church, bring your deepest desires to God and let Him draw you deeper into His love. Whatever appears to be missing or deficient in our community life indicates that we are not pursuing what the Trinity desires to do in and through us. This makes it easy to blame others for the things we dislike or find frustrating.

However, as we continue to discover and receive Trinity's love for us, we will grow in our acceptance and ability to love one another and others. Only a love-healed heart can rediscover grace and strength to love without fear of rejection. This gives us the courage to love as God loves us, with new hope and faith.
