How do you manage spiritual dryness and feeling distant from God?

There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows.

Ezekiel 47:9 (TLT)

God raises the Prophet Ezekiel to encourage the Jewish exiles in Babylon with a message of hope and comfort, describing how God will return them to their ancestral homeland. In one of his prophecies, Ezekiel depicts a beautiful vision of a river flowing from the new temple. This river of life represents a new type of spiritual existence that the people had not previously experienced. Wherever its pleasant streams run, death recedes and life flourishes.

Looking at this verse through a New Covenant perspective, the river of life represents Christ, while the new temple describes the believer's heart. What a blessing to have Christ in us and the joy to follow His Spirit. Too many of us are going ahead without listening to the Spirit's leading and guidance. How little we understand about faith and trusting God. If we do, we will immediately cease worrying and begin living.

The fruits of today come from the seeds planted yesterday.

How vital it is for you to immerse yourself in the River of Life! It is then that life transforms, not in the way we wish, but in the way God gives.
