Consider the incredible love that the Father has shown us in allowing us to be called “children of God”—and that is not just what we are called, but what we are.
1 John 3:1 J.B. Philips
It is not because we have value that we are loved by God, but because we are loved by God that we have value. Put simply, your value is a gift from God, and not an achievement on your part. As such, you must avoid attaching your value on things that give you importance and recognition and power. They don't last forever.
Instead, learn to grow your sense of worth and value on how much you are loved and treasured by God. It will help you come to a healthy acceptance of yourself. It will also bring you healing to the broken pieces of your life and release you from painful behaviour patterns that sabotage your relationships. For it is through making us new creations in Christ that God frees us from ourselves and everything that can give us a false sense of identity and security.
Our God is our Perfect Father who completely and passionately loves us. God's love gives us the strength and courage to become all that God wants us to be. If we realise that—we will resonate and reflect God's love in everything we do or say. When we feel emotionally connected to God through our friendship with Him—we will experience the embracing fullness of God that empties us of our shame and guilt and fear.
If you live and do everything as a heartfelt response to God's love for you, there is no fear of ever failing God or disappointing Him. No parent gets upset with a child learning how to walk. Rather, he or she will do everything to support the child in its attempt. God gives you access to His grace to grow into all things in Christ. Sure, we may not always get it right, but with God we feel safe enough and sure enough to keep on pursuing Christ and not lose hope in Him.
