This gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:14 (ESV)
It is often difficult to get Christians excited about living out and sharing their faith. Most of their lives revolve around church activities instead of simply living for Jesus in the spheres of influence they are in. This comes from a poor understanding of discipleship and disciple-making. As a result, they assume they have the option of choosing between the two.
Many Christians are not followers of Jesus. Rather, they are converts to denominational and institutional systems. While they accept the gospel of salvation, they ignore the gospel of the kingdom. Both the gospel of salvation and the gospel of the kingdom are two sides of the same coin. As a result, discipleship and mission are not separate or optional activities; rather, they work together to reveal and convey God's tremendous love. When we follow the One who calls us to faith, He will keep us faithful to His mission.
Relying on and resting in the ever-present reality of Christ's presence and power in your life allows you to walk faithfully with Him and live more fruitfully for Him. This ensures that your faith is not consumed by busyness and distractions. Learn to become Christ-minded in all things. Then everything you do will be full of grace and truth, leading to a life that brings glory to God.
