Jesus said, “I tell you the truth. The Son can do nothing alone. The Son does only what he sees his Father doing. The Son does whatever the Father does.
John 5:19 (ICB)
The kingdom of God grows through ordinary believers who listen to Jesus and do what He says. We all share the same call of making disciples. It is about building relationships and responding to needs with the transforming power of the gospel. The process is much simpler than you think.
Opportunities are everywhere.
It is simply a matter of opening our eyes and hearts to see what God is doing and joining in with God. We must be like Jesus. It is to be committed to do the will of God wherever we are and whenever possible. Sometimes we may think we are not good enough or qualified enough to be used by Jesus. It is pride, not humility, which is speaking.
We may not be perfect, but the fruit of God's Spirit will be seen in our lives as we grow in our walk with Christ. The more genuinely and humbly we live our life in Christ, the more we draw others to Christ. Let God direct you to live and express your faith naturally to those around you. If it is just and right to do so, be daring to pray and watch what happens. Jesus promised to confirm His gospel with mighty signs and wonders (cf. Mark 16:20; Romans 15: 19).
While we are not to be presumptuous, we must learn obedience and trust God to do what He says He will do. The more willing we are to talk about Jesus openly, the more we will see Him working powerfully through us. The best part is, we are serving with our Father, doing all things for the good of others and the glory of God.
