If we are faithless, He remains faithful—for He cannot deny himself.

2 Timothy 2:13 (ESV)

We are eternally secure in Christ.

The Apostle Paul taught that even if we are not faithful to God, He will always be faithful to us. No matter how sincere or diligent we are, we will never measure up to God's absolute righteous standard. This is why we need Jesus to save us because only He alone can make us right with God and keep us in a right relationship with God always. (Hebrews 12:2).

Jesus, as we all know, came down from heaven to conduct His Father’s will. The will of the Father is that Jesus will not lose anyone the Father has given Him. (John 6:39) It is through the finished work of the Cross that Jesus perfectly fulfilled His Father’s will so that He loses none whom the Father has given Him would ever be lost.

This is incredibly good news.

We who are saved by Jesus can rejoice greatly; we cannot lose our salvation in Him. If you have been united to Christ through faith, then you belong to Him, and nothing can snatch you from His hands. In defeating sin and restoring all things to Himself, Jesus has secured us in Him for all eternity.

There are those who believe salvation can be lost because of some habitual sins. However, Jesus has already judged our sins—past, present, and future—and taken them upon Himself. Those who turned away from God have a spiritual problem, not a salvation problem. Instead of judging them, pray for them and trust them to God’s hands.
