The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah 1:4-5 (NIV)

Your life matters to God because you are made in His image and likeness. This means you have inherent value, infinite significance and immeasurable worth. You are loved and worthy of love because of the place you hold in the Father's heart.

God knows us better than we know ourselves.

Before we are born, or even begin to form, God loves us deeply and desires for us to live a fulfilling life. We have nothing to fear. Just like Jeremiah, we need to see our stories in the light of God’s story. We were set apart before birth so that God may reveal Himself to us through His gospel. Our relationship with God does not begin with service. It starts with love, acceptance, welcome, belonging, and forgiveness. Knowing we are so loved by God, we overflow with praise, gratitude, and worship, and ultimately that overflow leads to obedience.

When we embrace the meaning of our life in God, we discover who we are and how we live in our world. Every one of us has a prophetic call to be witnesses of the gospel wherever we find ourselves. Just like someone who helps us to connect with God, we are equally privileged to help others connect their own stories to the divine narrative that God has woven for all creation from the beginning of the world to the present time.

Our calling is to grow deeper into the heart of God, and our vocation reflects the fullness of life and love God has for us who love Him. When we learn to live beyond ourselves and serve others, we become God’s voice and message that ushers a new spiritual reality that permeates all spheres, structures, and systems. This radical transformation fills people with a new vision of life and faith, which in turn, changes the course of destiny of their communities, cities, and nations.
