Some individuals have terrifying views about God. But Jesus came to remove all false ideas of God. Everything Jesus says and does is framed by His intimate relationship with His Father. In this way, He reflects the type of relationship that every believer can have with God.

If we believe God is our Father, we must see Him as our loving and kind Father.

Love is kind.

1 Corinthians 13:4 (NKJV)

The word "kind" comes from the Greek word “chrēsteuomai,” which is derived from the root word “chrēstous,” which means "good, friendly, and pleasant." Chrēsteuomai refers to an intentional willingness to adapt and adjust to meet the needs of others. This mindset may be seen throughout the ministry of Jesus, when He often paused from what He was doing to meet the needs of others. It is through Jesus that God demonstrated incomparable kindness to the outcasts and outsiders. Jesus bestowed upon lepers, prostitutes, and tax collectors a status of dignity and honour that they could never acquire in this world.

God's kindness knows no bounds, and He will not forget or forsake you.

Our loving Father is always gracious and kind, no matter what you think of Him. Whatever your needs are, God is more than willing to provide for them. However, God does not simply shower you with His kindness. He also wants you to demonstrate it to others. The Apostle Paul encourages us to show kindness, particularly among believers.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)

Determine in your heart that you will make a positive difference in the lives of others. You may not realise the impact of your kind words and actions, but God does.
