Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.

Acts 5:42 (NIV)

Every day, both publicly and privately, the early believers declare their faith and commitment to Jesus. They live out the gospel with fervour and fearless courage, through words and deeds, signs and wonders and various miracles. We have no less access to the ministry and power of the Lord than they do. Rather, our attitude determines how much we partner with Him on His mission.

We are to learn to walk with Jesus every day.

Keep in mind that we are always worshippers before we are workers in whatever spheres of life and influence and whichever part of the world we are in. When we rest on His empowering presence, we can be confident that the Lord will provide us with many opportunities to be “light” and “salt” to those around us. People may not know what we believe, but they can tell by how we act and speak.

Listen to the Spirit’s prompting and follow His lead. While He may call you to do things out of the ordinary, He will never ask you to do anything bizarre or unloving. I promise you will be amazed by God. Obedience is not hard when Christ becomes our priority and all. After all, His grace will sustain us to do His will.
