Living a life of faith in Jesus allows us to grow and experience the fullness of God.

If we ever feel spiritually dry or alienated from God, it is due to how we perceive ourselves rather than God. His Spirit dwells within us, which is a wonderful thing to know because our Father has already promised us that He will not abandon us as orphans.

There is no lasting faith or obedience in the hearts of spiritual orphans. Their inability to recognise God as their most loving and perfect Father keeps them from enjoying His goodness and grace. They often operate from a sense of insecurity and inferiority. As a result, they become envious of the breakthroughs of others and are unable to rejoice in their blessings. If left unhealed, those seeds of raging thoughts of jealousy and anger can produce the fruits of discord and division.

Our desire and willingness to do more for God flows from the pure joy of living for His good pleasure. Knowing that the Father loves us perfectly and completely, frees us from unhealthy comparison and competition. Furthermore, we are eager to help others in their growth and success because we regard them as brothers and sisters in Christ.

While a spiritual orphan seeks significance, worth and value, a son serves through the revelation and reality of identity and inheritance in Christ. Their oneness in Christ has already established their significance, worth and value, and as a result, they exude a spirit of excellence in everything they do.
