We comforted and encouraged you and challenged you to adopt a lifestyle worthy of God, who invites you into his kingdom and glory.
1 Thessalonians 2:12 The Passion Translation
The church is about the kingdom of God, and that means every follower of Christ is to set his or her heart to partner with God in His kingdom agenda. We can do a few things here to make this course of action more likely.
The first thing is to adjust your way of thinking to focus on things that last for eternity, and not temporary. Then you will experience a greater sense of purpose and belonging and connection to God. If you keep feeding yourself with the newsfeed and not place your faith in God's eternal truths, you become fearful of everything and have a sense of hopelessness and powerlessness. Rather, focus your eyes and fix your heart on Christ and you will discover life from God's perspective and seek after His kingdom.
To seek the kingdom is not a matter of doing but a matter of knowing it is already within you. This frees you a life of fruitfulness and joy in spite of life's trials and tribulation.
The second thing is to get out from an unbiblical mindset that separates the "sacred" from the "secular". This false dichotomy gives the idea that a church-based ministry has more of a holy feel than a marketplace ministry. That is why many Christians are so busy with church stuff that they do not have time to engage with family members and friends who have not heard the gospel at all.
The third thing is to demystify the myth that God only uses the “special” people. If we truly study the Bible, we will realize that God uses ordinary people in extraordinary ways for His purpose and glory. You actually believe a lie if you think God cannot use you. It is not that you are lacking a kingdom purpose but you are struggling with your identity in Christ.
Walk in the truth of who you are in Christ and live accordingly.
