Love does no wrong to a neighbour [it never hurts anyone]. Therefore [unselfish] love is the fulfillment of the Law.

Romans 13:10 (AMP)

The blessing of being loved by Christ enables us to be loving to one another.

The Apostle Paul tells us love does no wrong or injury to others. Instead, we will demonstrate our love for someone in many clear and beautiful ways. A heart that rests on agape love will not selfishly withhold what is due to others. It will endeavour to connect and reconcile, give, and forgive, and edify and encourage.

The reason love is so expressive is because its motivation is to bless and empower people. This does not mean we do anything and everything without wisdom or sound judgement. But it does mean we will act in a way that will do the best. The ultimate expression of this agape love was when God gave His Son who gave His life for each of us and to all of us.

Everything we do, whether great or small, is to be done for the glory of God and the benefit of others. Be prayerful and discerning since we can never be certain of what is going on in the lives of those around us. Get in the habit of asking, “Who does God want me to serve today?” and seek the Holy Spirit to guide you. And be assured that those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed (Proverbs 11:25).

The blessing of love is a threefold blessing because it blesses the one who gives and the one who receives as well as God in the process. When we fully, graciously, and humbly love people, we are serving God. And that is being a true child of God.
