"I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You"
Job 42:5 (NKJV)
The story of Job begs the question, "Will you still love and believe God in spite of everything, even if you don't see His whole plan for your life?"
It is simple to believe in God when life is good and everything is going well. But, when difficulties arise, you may get so preoccupied with your concerns that your pain overpowers your faith. Job's faith was challenged to its core when everything he owned was destroyed and everyone he loved was wiped out. Job then placed God on trial, demanding an explanation for the injustices done to him by Satan.
God spoke in the midst of Job's vehement ranting. God did not reveal to Job everything he desired to know, but God did reveal to Him what he needs to know. While God concealed the mystery of Job's suffering, He revealed to Job the mystery of His grace. Job realised after hearing God that he had been looking for a God who fits his preconceived notions all along. It is through the power of revelation that God gave Job a bigger vision of who He is and Job was satisfied.
Every situation presents you with the option of reacting or responding to God.
How you choose will either make or break your relationship with Him. You must grow beyond your personal problems and learn to love and trust God whose ways may be mysterious but never malicious.
Keep in mind that God has the ultimate power to make things work for your good (Romans 8:28). While you are going through hard times, never believe that God has abandoned you or that you are no longer pleasing to Him. Jesus taught us to pray to God to lead us away from difficult trials and the Evil One. As a result, God will faithfully enable you to resist Satan's attacks and avoid being easily duped by his wiles.
