God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Romans 5:5 (ESV)
God is love and relational.
As we grow in a richer and deeper relationship with God, we shall discover the intricate loving connection between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each of the three persons loves and trusts the other two completely, and this life and love of the Trinity flow into us. We witnessed the Father’s love when He gave us His only Son. We witnessed the Son’s love when He laid down His life for us. We witnessed the Holy Spirit’s love when He filled our hearts with God’s love.
This Trinitarian love in us serves as the foundation for our life, faith and ministry.
The "emptying" of God's love into us fills us with God Himself, transforming us into living vessels of love, offering to others what we gladly receive from God. We don’t have to do more than simply take steps of faith to grow in our love for each other and serve together.
There is nothing missing in our relationship with God.
We are complete in Christ, and we already have everything we will ever need to live a life that reflects our completeness in Christ. The question is, do we really believe Him enough to live by faith? That will take humility and willingness on our part.
When we forget who we are and to whom we belong, life, faith and ministry can become challenging and even overwhelming. It is not that we have become too busy, but rather we have been too careless to pay attention to our spiritual health and well-being. The Apostle Paul tells us if there is no love in what we do, we are nothing more than the hollow sound of a clanging cymbal (1 Corinthians 13:1).
We are not Christians because of our belief in God, but also our experience of God. When we show love to others, we demonstrate the fact that God and His life of eternal love dwell within us.
